What Is a Kegel Throne Anyways?

If you’ve heard friends, family or social media influencers talk about Emsella® you’ve likely wondered what is Emsella® and how does it work? Emsella® is an electromagnetic chair that contracts your pelvic floor muscles (like a Kegel) thousands of times within one session. Think of it like a magnet, pulling your pelvic floor muscles together, strengthening and toning the entire area without you ever breaking a sweat. Emsella® is painless, non-invasive and requires no downtime after treatments, making it an ideal treatment option.

You want to know, what is BTL Emsella® and how does it work? We are always here to answer your questions! Yes, even the embarrassing and uncomfortable ones. Let’s change the conversation about incontinence and see how you can say goodbye to leaks! To learn more about the Emsella® experience at V Lounge, see our About the Throne information page.

Does Emsella Really Work?

We get it, anything that sounds great leads to skepticism and you’ve probably wondered, does Emsella® work? We’re happy to report that, yes! Emsella® really does work! Study participants whose urinary incontinence was treated with Emsella® reported a 95% improvement in their quality of life with a 75% reduction in pad usage for leaks. Our patients tell us every day about how Emsella® has been life-changing for them. Hear about life-changing patients' journeys from our patients themselves!

How Does Emsella Work?

Emsella® uses HIFEM (High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic) technology to deliver deep stimulation to your pelvic floor muscles. This supports the strengthening of the pelvic floor and re-education of the pelvic floor mind-muscle connection. What does this mean for you? A strong pelvic floor, leak-free bladder, and some sexy side effects that allow you to reconnect with yourself and your partner, with confidence.

How Long Do Emsella Treatments Last?

You can expect your Emsella® treatments to provide you with results soon after treatments begin. By the end of their six-week treatment session, our patients come in raving about how Emsella® has improved their urinary incontinence and also about the sexy side effects too. Just like any other muscle, your pelvic floor needs maintenance to stay strong. Everybody is different but for many patients, sometime around six months after their initial treatment course is a good time to consider a maintenance treatment.

How Much Does Emsella® Cost for Treatments?

The big question is, how much does BTL Emsella® cost? At V Lounge, your initial six-session treatment course costs $2,100 with stand-alone treatments costing $350. Follow-up treatment sessions cost $200. We understand that this can be a considerable expense. We also know that Emsella® treatments have been life-changing for our patients. Connect with us to see if Emsella® is a good fit for you or to discuss payment plan options.

Is Emsella Health Canada Cleared?

Emsella® is Health Canada cleared to treat urinary incontinence. You can feel confident that your Emsella® treatments are safe and effective. Though Emsella® is effective and safe, we always recommend a consultation with a pelvic floor physiotherapist prior to beginning treatments. This will ensure that you are a good candidate for Emsella® as not all pelvic floor dysfunctions can be treated with Emsella®.

Is Emsella Covered by Insurance?

Many of our patients ask us, is BTL Emsella® covered by insurance? Though Emsella® is not covered by OHIP, it may be covered by some private health insurance plans. Not sure if you have coverage? Connect with us and let us help you navigate finding out if your health benefits will cover your Emsella® treatments.
